Note on disposal of used batteries

The following notice is intended for those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and do not resell them in the form supplied to them (end users):

1. take-back of used batteries free of charge

Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries so that proper disposal can be guaranteed. You can dispose of used batteries at a local collection point or at a local retailer. As a distributor of batteries, we are also obliged to take back used batteries, whereby our take-back obligation is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have in our range as new batteries. Therefore, you can either return used batteries of the above-mentioned type to us with sufficient postage or return them free of charge directly to our shipping warehouse at the address stated in the imprint.

2 Meaning of the battery symbols

Meaning of the battery symbolsBatteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out dustbin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent mercury, more than 0.002 percent cadmium or more than 0.004 percent lead by weight, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located under the waste bin symbol - where "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" stands for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.
